Event FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

Please take a few moments to read our Event FAQ which has VERY IMPORTANT information for you to consider coming to an off-grid event.
On Site Registration
Main Gate Registration will be open from 8AM-8PM but we encourage people to come for the whole day to maximize your experience.
You will be asked to sign a liability release waiver & agree to the property guidelines.
Directions to 19850 Camino Del Oro East
From Crestone: Take CO RD T to the POA/Funeral Pyre sign (Camino Del Oro East)) and turn Right. Turn right at the curve and go past the funeral pyre. Turn left immediately after the pyre and drive .8 miles to the entrance gates. From Hwy 17: Turn onto CO RD T to go to Crestone out of the Town of Moffat. Take CO RD T to the POA/Funeral Pyre sign (Camino Del Oro East) and turn Left. Turn right at the curve and go past the funeral pyre. Turn left immediately after the pyre and drive .8 miles to the entrance gates.
The PermaPeaceFest is meant to be a community volunteer engagement event. Please volunteer in one of our sectors for minimum of 3 hours to earn a ticket. Please sign up here __________________ To donate for a ticket, if you cannot volunteer, it is $20/ day and $35 for both days.
Yes, we will be on site throughout the week, and help will be needed Friday May 28th, 10 AM – 6 PM.
Yes! Our event is volunteer run so we have many roles to fill throughout the day. Please consider signing up for one of our volunteer shifts on ____________________ at the main gate registration.
Yes, we will need break down help on Monday May 31st from noon – 7 PM.
Yes, we will have water available on site for hand washing. Please bring your own drinking water. There are no showers on site.
Are there bathroom facilities on site – Yes
The venue is in an open sandy field. There is no shade and no trees. We recommend providing your own source of shade. We will do our best to provide shade for the main audience seating area.
There is no camping on site, but BLM and Forest Service land is close and it is free to camp on in Colorado.
North Crestone Campground – $7/night for availability.
Additional camping at UFO Watchtower site in Hooper
Lodging – There are many Air B&B’s and several Inn’s located in Crestone.
Designated parking will be along the right side of Camino Del Oro East en route to the entrance gate. Parking is free. Please also consider parking off site and carpooling and shuttling. Parking is limited
There will be a variety of arts and crafts vendors on site throughout the day. If you would like to vend, please sign up on our website permapeacefest.earth and separate instructions will be sent to you.
There will be limited food for sale from licensed vendors and food for free on site through the collective efforts of the community. It’s a good idea to be prepared by bringing your own food.
We will accept donations of food throughout the weekend as well. Please bring your own bowls, plates, cups, utensils. A dish washing station will be available with soap and hand sanitizer.
The Elephant Cloud and the Crestone Mercantile are in the town of Crestone.
No – you are welcome to bring your own portable solar or other alternative energy systems. We also recommend bringing headlamps, flashlights and/or solar lights for the evening.
Is internet available?
No – we need all of the bandwidth to run our livestream.
Is there phone service on site?
Very limited phone service at the site.
We ask that you help us Leave No Trace by packing it in/packing it out.
There will be trash, recycling and composting receptacles on site but please remember we are far from services and every bit of clean-up helps. Compost is welcome to stay on property.
Basic 1st AID will be available for your own use on site. The Baca Grande Emergency Medical Services is the closest EMS and ambulance service located within a few miles of the event. The nearest hospitals are an hour away in Alamosa and Salida, CO.

Mosca – Mosca Pit Stop – 26 miles away
There will be a lovely kids area. See staff onsite for more details.
If you are bringing children consider helping out with a volunteer shift in the Kids Area.
We ask that attendees consume anything on site responsibly and according to Colorado State Law and age guidelines.
